Ordinance Review Committee

The Ordinance Review Committee is a city body which advises the Mayor and City Council on amending, creating, revising, and rescinding ordinances.  The committee consists of 7 members; 5 regular members and 2 alternate members.  Each Councilmember nominates a regular member and the Mayor recommends the two alternate members.  The City Council then votes on accepting the nominations.

The length of the term of each Ordinance Review Committee member is consistent with the term of the Councilmember who nominated the member.

The Ordinance Review Committee shall meet at least once a month but as often as necessary to accomplish the tasks at hand.

The Ordinance Review Committee operates in compliance with the Open Meetings Act.
