Are you new (or interested in moving) to Woodcreek?

We are happy to welcome you to the City of Woodcreek.  We are located in the midst of the Texas Hill Country in the beautiful, unique Wimberley Valley. We are surrounded by rivers, creeks, and natural habitat for wildlife and birds. Our community is home to the Quicksand Golf Course and nearby parks and trails offer recreational opportunities for all ages.

Our community is governed by an elected volunteer City Council composed of a Mayor and five Council members. There is a City Manager, City Secretary, Administrative Assistant, and Code Administrator serving as Staff.  We hire professional services for legal, accounting and engineering services.

Our Boards, Commissions and Citizen Committees are appointed volunteer positions.  Volunteerism is a fundamental characteristic of our dynamic community.

Unlike many municipalities, our city government does not provide water/sewer, electric or waste collection services. You will have these services provided by the following outside entities via franchise agreements with the city:  Aqua Texas, Pedernales Electric Cooperative and Waste Connections.

There are city ordinances available here on our website.  Not unlike other cities in the area, city ordinances protect your property values by covering areas such as: signs, animal control, vehicle parking, noise, tree trimming permits and building permits, to name a few.  Please check with city hall when planning new construction, fences, pools and patios or cutting our precious protected oak trees.

We are a community of many talented retirees, who bring extraordinary life experiences to the community.  In addition, we are beginning to see a big shift in the demographic to younger families with school-aged children.  There are excellent schools nearby that provide incentives to families wanting a safe, beautiful and future-focused community. In the fall of 2023, we installed a playscape in Creekside Park which has proved to be very popular. Improvements have also been made to "The Triangle" (note the new Gazebo) and Augusta Park, all thanks to a parks grant from Hays County.

Please enjoy your time in the City of Woodcreek.  We are a community of individuals of diverse backgrounds who have great pride in our city.

Welcome to Woodcreek!
