  • The City of Woodcreek, incorporated in 1984 and becoming a Type A General Law City in 1989, encompasses the area around the original 18-hole golf course, Camp Young Judaea, and Brookmeadow to the north, Canyon Creek to the south, the Oak Orchard Enclave to the east, and includes a planned development district south of Cypress Creek at Ranch Road 12.
  • The City does not extend beyond the low-water crossing by Cypress Point into the area known as Eagle Rock; this neighborhood lies in the extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ) of the City. Additionally, the city limits do not include the Wimberley Springs nor Woodcreek North neighborhoods. 
  • The 2020 Census states that the population of Woodcreek is 1,770 with 910 housing units. 
  • The City is primarily residential with a handful of commercial businesses. 
  • Building permits are required for new structures, new roofs, fences, accessory buildings and pools. Permits are required for interior remodeling that involves framing, moving plumbing, or electrical changes.
  • The City has permanent bans on burning, feeding deer, and fireworks.
  • Short-term renting of residentially zoned properties is limited to the SF-4 zone only. 
  • The City has adopted a Water Quality Protection Ordinance limiting impervious cover to 30%.
